MY VALENTINE

My Dress: Nordstrom

Happy Tuesday (again) babes!! In honour of valentine’s day, I wanted to share a special Q & A with you! My hubby is gone for work this year for Valentine’s day, so we spent the whole weekend celebrating. My boys totally spoiled me! I have to say, I don’t mind being the only girl in our household right now! Although he is going to be gone on the 14th, he says he still has some things planned for that day… hmmmm. He is so thoughtful and romantic so of course, I get excited for this time of year. Really though, he makes me feel incredibly special every day.

QUESTION:

How long have you two been together?

ANSWER:

We have been together for over 7 years and married for almost 4 (this June is 4 years!).

QUESTION:

When was your first kiss?

ANSWER:

The day after we met!

QUESTION:

When did you know that Haden was “the one”.

ANSWER:

I knew pretty well instantly. We had this instant connection and spent hours just talking and laughing and getting to know each other. It felt perfect from day 1, and gets better every day.

QUESTION:

Who said “I love you” first, and how soon into dating was it said?

ANSWER:

Haden was the first one to say “I love you”, and he said it 3 weeks after we had known each other! I of course said it back. When you know, you know!

QUESTION:

Who is the more romantic one out of you two?

ANSWER:

We can both be romantic, but I would still say Haden is more romantic.

QUESTION:

What was the first gift that Haden got for you?

ANSWER:

Haden got me a beautiful dainty little necklace with a little diamond on it. We also went away to Hawaii with his family a month and a half after we met, and he knew that I loved rings with a lava stone in them. He surprised me on the beach under the stars in Maui with a beautiful ring, from Maui, with lava rock in the middle on a white gold band, with a diamond on each side. I still have both those items and love them so much!

QUESTION:

What did you do for your first Valentine’s Day together?

ANSWER:

Haden had made me a treasure hunt. It was so fun and led me to different things. One of the things was a buffet (he made) of crepes with delicious toppings. The final clue led me to a pair of beautiful diamond earrings. What did I tell you, he’s so thoughtful!

QUESTION:

What are your favourite things to do together?

ANSWER:

Travel the world, go on long drives and talk about everything and our plans, watch movies and cuddle!
