Treehouse Living – Bolt Farm

Happy Tuesday, babes! We had the best week and weather in South Carolina, but came back to freezing temperatures! In a few short days, we are heading to Hawaii, so I’m looking forward to leaving this Manitoba weather behind again.

The first two nights that we were in South Carolina, we stayed in the very well known Bolt Farm Tree-houses. Honestly, this place was one in a billion. It was amazing beyond our expectations and I have never seen anything like it. It truly is one of the most amazing places that I’ve ever been. It was the most relaxing couple of days, and Haden and I got so much quality time and had a blast together.

In just a few short days there, we already got into a routine that I miss! We would wake up in the biggest, coziest bed (that felt like sleeping on a cloud), and look out onto the most gorgeous view. We got into the housecoats that are provided (softest, thickest housecoats) and made delicious coffee with the antique coffee grinder. The coffee was AH-MAZING! We sipped and sat outside in the wicker hanging chairs and just enjoyed the view of the tidal river. We went for a few bike rides on the double side by side bike and got to check out the Charleston Treehouse (which is equally as amazing as the Honeymoon Treehouse that we stayed in). We spent the days lounging, taking dips in the hot tub/bath tub, playing games, listening to their record player, eating and making cheeseboards, pizza and so much more. I loved sitting on the deck and reading my book with a glass of wine in hand. In the evenings, we would make more food and relax in the hot tub. It was so perfect.

Having time away with Haden was so good, and the tree-houses were the prefect place for this. It was quiet and relaxing with no distractions. Quality time is one of my love languages, so I soaked up every second of this.

The tree-houses are owned by the most amazing couple, and we were lucky enough to meet one of them, Tori Bolt. The amount of work, thought and creativity that goes into every corner of the tree-houses is really amazing. The beautiful lights that are strung everywhere, make for such a romantic evening. From the outdoor showers, swinging bridge, spiral staircase, hot tub, bath tub, to the record player, double deck, double bike, old time movies on the outdoor hanging bed (and everything in between), it all felt like such a dream.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway with your significant other, I HIGHLY recommend these tree-houses. You will not be disappointed, and you will have the most amazing memories to last a lifetime! We are already counting the days till we can go back!
